## Born in the Static

I hate to say it, but I was born a hacker.

Before I had language for any of this, I had machines. My father had old games, old hardware, and that strange 80s cyberpunk atmosphere where everything looked like the future and smelled like dust. Every payday felt like a new cartridge, a new disk, a new portal.

I was born in the early 90s and grew up fast inside the digital age, the nano age, the age of plastic keyboards and infinite aliases. While other kids saw computers as toys, I saw them as cities. Streets. Locks. Doors. Weather systems.

Then came the texts.

The Cyphernomicon. Old hacker lore. Fragments of crypto-anarchist prophecy. Underground reports. Dead websites. Mirrors of mirrors. Handles without faces. IRC rooms where everyone sounded older, smarter, or more dangerous than they probably were.

I learned too early that code has teeth.

At home, I started small. Private experiments. Broken scripts. Half-understood manuals. Little sparks in the dark. Then the corporate landscape appeared in the distance like a glass tower waiting for lightning.

While my friends played video games, I was trying to understand the invisible game underneath them. Networks. Protocols. Signals. Identity. Trust. Where the packet goes. Who owns the route. Who watches the watcher.

Behind closed doors, I studied.

Not because I wanted to be famous.

Because I wanted to know.

That is the first addiction.

Not access.
Not damage.
Not money.

Knowing.
